  • Greeting card making competition was conducted in co-curricular period.
  • “Investiture Ceremony” of Primary Department was organized. Shri. C.R Subramaniam President South Indian Education Society;
  • Shri. T.G. Janakiraman, Secretary ; Shri K. Jagadeeshan Chairman -Primary Committee and Heads of the various Departments were present prominently. The badges and lashes to the captains and house captains and other office bearers were given by the members of (SIES) and the heads of various Departments. Mrs. Jacinta Francis conducted the proceedings and Ms. Vaneja Swami proposed Vote of Thanks.
  • Saraswati Vidyalaya primary students brought laurels to the school by their excellent performance in various Olympiads in Second level. It’s a rare achievement that Ku. Mansi Pramod Doble of Std I won 2nd International rank in International English Olympiad, and she was awarded with medal, certificate and a CD worth Rs.2000/- on Encyclopedia by the Regional Coordinator of School Olympiad Federation, Mrs. Apurva Pande. Mas. Chinmay Santosh Avere of Std II won 8th International rank and awarded with a certificate and CD worth Rs.2000/-. Mas. Yash Titarmare of Std III and Mas. Bhargav Yelekar of Std IV appeared for 2nd level ISO and IMO and awarded with merit certificate.

  • A competition on “Main Vivekananda Bol Raha Hoon” was held at Shivaji Sabhagraha. Primary students took active participation.
  • PT and Workshop of teachers by Macmillan was conducted in English subject.

  • International literacy day was celebrated. Poem writing competition for Std III and IV was conducted. Topic was ‘Water and mother nature’ whereas story telling competition was conducted for Std I and II.
  • Mr. Subhash Anand, founder director of J M International School, Dwarka who has a vast experience in teaching Maths and who is the author of 50 books for NCERT conducted a Maths workshop for the primary teachers. He had discussed about fun in Maths and conducted many activities to create interest in Maths.
  • ‘Spell Bee’ competition was conducted in CCA period. Hand writing competition was conducted by Rajaram Dixit Library.
  • Geeta chanting competition for Std. I to Std. IV held.
  • State level Mega Drawing competition was organized by SCEPT, Pune.
  • As part of the assembly based on value –“ RESPECT”, Red House students showed their respect to the teachers by giving handmade greeting card and flower to each and every teacher. They conducted one speech and skit to show the importance of respect.
  • One guest lecture for the parents by Mr. Milind Apte was organized by primary department. Around 200 parents attended the lecture. He explained simple formulae to tackle the complicated problems faced by the students. Entire teaching fraternity and management appreciated his efforts.
  • As a part of Navarathri celebrations Saraswati Pooja was conducted.

  • A lecture was organized in the auditorium on types and prevention of cancer by Dr.Ajay Mehta exclusively for the staff members.
  • Lt. Col. V. D. Paranjape Memorial School, Bajaj Nagar organized Best out of Waste competition. Ku. Akshya Vijayapandian of Std III bagged 2nd prize
  • Mas.Shreyash Donge of std IV D received a medal and certificate from Help age India for maximum collection.
  • Children’s day was celebrated with enthusiasm and fervor. Teachers presented songs, dance, speech and various activities. As representatives of classes class monitors were presented with beautiful cards prepared by the teachers.
  • As part of children’s day celebrations, value based movie was shown to the students.
  • Students of Std I & IV went for Picnic .Venues are – Ajit Bakery , Butibori garden and Parad Singa respectively
  • Rajaram Dixit library conducted the Handwriting & Drawing competition in which 41 & 14 students participated &secured 2nd & consolation position.
  • Students of Std II,III & IV participated in the Read & Grow competition held at Sandipani school, Hazaripahad. Results will be declared in the month of January.
  • During the Annual Social gathering, in the cultural programme the students presented a dance drama on the theme “Devdarshanam”,
  • Students undertook a Novel project, titled “Bags to earth”, as part of efforts to save the environment. The students made bags of various sizes using news papers and distributed them in the shops. Awareness was created among the students in the assembly about the cancerous effect of plastic as it is nonbiodegrable and creates pollution.
  • Ku. V Akshaya & Ku.Kamalika participated in the Bhartiyar day celebration organized by South India Association, Ramnagar.
  • District Athletic Association conducted interschool competition in Race & Relay for primary students. Our students secured 13 Gold and 3 Bronze medals. 4 students got selection for the state level which will be held on 30th December ’16 in Pune.
  • Lokmat Times organized sticker competition for Std I to IV. Ku. Shruti Kanpate won 1st prize and received the electronic flying toy and certificate. Mas. Nihar Bankar won 2nd prize and got a school bag and certificate.
  • As a part of co-curricular activities, a drawing competition was conducted for Std I & II, Essay writing competition was conducted for Std III & IV.
  • Students contributed books, clothes and study materials for Times of India ‘Joy of giving’.
  • Ms. Akshaya Vijaya Pandian of Std III A won gold medal in the SIP ABACUS competition conducted by Smart Kid.
  • Ms. Kirti Sharma won 1st prize in Dance Ke Super Star – Season 5.
  • Mas. Krishant Mohan of II E emerged as the school topper and Mst. Yash Titarmare won consolation prize in the ‘Read & Grow’ competition conducted by Sandipani School, Nagpur.
  • As a part of co-curricular activities a doll making competition was organized for Std III & IV, while clay modeling was conducted for Std I & II students.
  • Republic day celebration, dance performance by primary students will be held on 26th January’17.
  • Science Olympiad medals and certificates were distributed in the assembly.

  • Mas. Jay Chopade and Mas. Yash Thaware secured first position in skating conducted by Shivaji Skating club.
  • Around 60 students of primary department actively participated in the founder’s day -Tamiliar day programme.
  • Mas. Kshitij Std. II E of Primary Department who is suffering from some heart ailment was operated and treated at CARE hospital. As the parents were economically very weak, they could bear only one lakh rupees for the medical expenses. The remaining expenses were shared by the contribution made by 1988 batch students. The total expenses were around 3 lakhs. In this connection they have appealed to all the batch mates not to spend money on social get together and on the celebrations. Dr. Nayana Ingole and Shri. Yogesh Deshmukh were the students who lead the team.
  • Mas. Digvijay Admane of IV A was awarded with gold medal in the inter school swimming competition conducted by Rotary Club, Nagpur.
  • Shivaji Skating club organized skating competition in which Ku. Shrawastl Dhone of Std III D was awarded with Bronze medal.
  • A seminar on phonetics was organized. Mrs. Shaily Gambhir, a counselor cum phonetic expert was the resource person.
  • 15 students were selected for the State level spell bee competition which will be conducted on 22nd April in Nagpur.
  • A movie “Amchi Chamakte Tare” was shown to all primary students.
  • General Knowledge Olympiad of Silver Zone foundation was conducted in which primary students won three gold, 4 silver & 6 Bronze medals.
