Elocution competition at Somalwar High School – 15-10-2024

Students of Saraswati Vidyalaya excelled at the Panache Elocution Competition organized by Somalwar High School under Shivmahima on October 4, 2024. Ku. Punyashree Jane, a student of Saraswati Vidyalaya, secured the 1st position in the category for 9th to 10th standards, winning a cash prize of ₹5,000. Her impressive oratory skills earned her this notable achievement.

Mukhyamantri Mazi Shala, Sundar Shala Award

Mukhyamantri Mazi Shala, Sundar Shala Award-II Initiative Saraswati Vidyalaya High School & Jr. College bags the Award South Indian Education Society’s Saraswati Vidyalaya High School and Jr. College, a premier 130 years old educational institution of Nagpur Maharashtra is bestowed upon with the prestigious Mukhyamantri Mazi Shala, Sundar Shala Award –II initiative on October 14th 2024 at Mumbai’s National Centre for Performing Arts. The award was presented by Shri. Deepak Kesarkar, the esteemed Education Minister of Maharashtra. The school receives a Trophy, Certificate of 2nd position and a cheque of Rs 15,00,000/- (fifteen Lakhs) The Mukhyamantri Mazi Shala, Sundar Shala Award recognizes schools that have demonstrated exceptional achievements in various aspects of education, including academic excellence, infrastructural development, students-centric approach , community engagement and overall school environment. SCIENCE TALK REPORT – 21-09-2024

The 36th  Smt. Padmatai Bardhan Memorial Inter-school Science Talk and 7th  A. Sundaresan Memorial Inter-school  Science Talk were held at Saraswati Vidyalaya’s auditorium on 21st September 2024. The event was digitally inaugurated by Shri T.K. Venkatesh, President of SIES. Twenty schools participated in each competition, showcasing their scientific progress.

A grand Independence celebration at Saraswati Vidyalaya – 15.08.2024

A grand celebration of 78TH Independence Day  was held at  Saraswati Vidyalaya  High school and Jr. college with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The program began at 7:30 a.m.  with the hoisting of  flag  at the hands of Smt. Pushpa  Ananthanarayana Headmaster, Secondary.

“Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign: Cycle Rally Organized by Scouts and Guides – 11.08.2024

Under the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, a cycle rally was organized by the Scouts and Guides of Saraswati Vidyalaya, Shankar nagar, Nagpur, on Sunday, August 12, 2024. The track followed by the rally started from Shankar Nagar, passed through Dharampeth and proceeded towards Seminary Hills.

The objective of this rally was to instill a sense of patriotism among the students. The participants received overwhelming support and affection from the public.

Prize Distribution Function.

The prize distribution function was held on the 29th of July 2024 with great zeal and enthusiasm.

It was the day of felicitation of the stars for their outstanding performance in classes 10th and 12th.

The Chief Guest, President, Honorary Secretary, Treasurer and Headmistress secondary department gave away the prizes and blessed the students.

The program was a grand success due to the constant Support of our parent body South Indian Education society, heads of various departments, AHM, supervisors teaching and non-teaching staff of the school.

Saraswati Vidyalaya pays tributes  to Lokmanya Tilak on his death anniversary and Lokshaheer Annbhabhau sathe on his birth anniversary.

1st August  2024 Saraswati  Vidyalaya witnessed a program held to give tributes to Great warriors of the country.

Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak and Lok shahir Annabhau sathe on their death anniversary  and   birth anniversary respectively.

The election for the students Council was held at Saraswati Vidyalaya on 3rd  August 2024.

The main purpose behind the conduction of the student Council is to provide a platform to the student to develop leadership qualities by organizing and carrying out different School activities.

In all 24 students were elected who were given designation badges and sashes in the investiture ceremony held on Saturday 10th  August 2024 .

 Campaign of “Paras Baag” – 10.08.2024

The school kitchen garden reminds the students about the true source of our food supply and teaches them valuable gardening and agriculture concepts. Through this children can learn how to grow good food which not only improves health but also provides opportunities for livelihood and increased self sufficiency.

Under the campaign of “Paras Baag” of “Mazi Shala Sundar Shala” a “Kitchen Garden” activity was conducted in the premises of Saraswati Vidyalaya on 10th August 2024.

Pola Celebrations

KG I students celbratated the festival of bull with enthusiasm. Dressed up in traditional attire, they all brought their nandi bail carrying social messages. Awards were given to the best dressed student, well decorated bull and first in race bull also. The significance of the festival was well learnt by the students. The whole ambience was overwhelming with joy

Mahavachan Chalval.

The national education policy 2020 has emphasized reading as a key skill for foundational learnings. The main objective behind celebrating Mahavachan Chalval was to mark the importance of reading in one’s life.

HINDI RASHTRTABHASHA EXAMINATION

Maharashtra Rashtrabhasha Sabha, Pune conducted Hindi Rashtrabhasha Exam for the students of STD 5th to 9th.

The students of our school also appeared for this exam. From STD 5th in all 158 students appeared for BALBODHINI EXAMINATION and 30 students got Distinction. From STD 6th, 187 students appeared for PRATHAMIK EXAMINATION and 38 students got Distinction. In all 124 students of STD 7th appeared for PRAVESHIKA EXAMINATION and 11 students got Distinction. From STD 8th, 107 students appeared for SUBODHA EXAMINATION and 08 students got distinction. From STD 9th, 34 students appeared for PRABODH EXAMINATION.

PARENTS TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION

On 25th July 2024 PTA meeting was held in the school auditorium. Parents representatives from classes 5th to 10th were present for the meeting . Amongst them Smt. Sarika Chaudhari was unanimously elected as the vice-president of PTA for the session 2024-25 and was welcomed by Smt. Pushpa Ananthnarayan Narayan (HM Secondary Dep) with a bouquet. The newly elected vice-president Smt. Sarika Choudhary in her speech assured full support and co-operation of the parents.

Shala Parivahan

Shala parivahan samiti meeting was conducted in the auditorium of Saraswati Vidyalaya at 11:00 a.m. where the topics like establishment of the school parivahan samiti traffic rules and regulation and also spreading awareness among the auto Van drivers. The guests for this program were Shri.Mangesh Dange (API) Ambazari Police Station, Shri. Ashok Gedam (PSI) Sonegaon Police Station and Shri. Sanjay Kumar Police Mitra. Mangesh Dange (API) Ambazari Police Station was welcomed by Smt. Pushpa Ananthanarayan (HM Secondary Dep) with a bouquet. Shri. Ashok Gedam (PSI) Sonegaon Police Station was welcomed by Smt. Lakshmi Srinivasan (AHM Secondary Dep) with a bouquet and Shri. Sanjay Kumar Police Mitra was welcomed by Shri. Ravindra Kulkarni Supervisor (Secondary Dep).

All the guests explained the  students about the various traffic rules and created awareness .

Entrepreneurial Mindset Development Program

Under Entrepreneurial Mindset Development Program Udhyam Learning Foundation and Game organized Expo- 2024 to develop an experiential approach amongst all government school students. 20 students of Saraswati Vidyalaya also participated in it with 6 different models. Among these models “LPG GAS DETECTOR” made by Mas. Rudra Kapghate, Mas. Gaurav Khapse, Mas. Sai Harchand and Mas. Dhruv Waswan, got a cash prize for the best innovative problem solving category. All the winners were congratulated by Shri .T.K. Venkatesh (President SIES), Shri.V. Shankaran (Vice-President SIES), Smt.V. Meenakshi (Hon.Secretary SIES) , Dr.R.S.Sundaram (Jt.Secretary SIES), Shri.R. Ganesh (Treasurer SIES) ,all the members of South Indian Education Society, Smt. Pushpa Ananthanarayan (HM, secondary dep.),Smt. Lakshmi Srinivasan (AHM, secondary dep.),Shri.Ravindra Kulkarni and Shri.Rahul Ghode (Supervisors, secondary dep.) for their excellent performance . The students were guided by Smt. Priti Vaidya and Smt. Ashwini Kuralkar.

FDP

Under the guidance of Smt Pushpa Ananthnarayan (HM secondary dep.)a workshop was held for the teachers under Faculty Development program at Saraswati vidyalaya High school and Jr. College Nagpur on Saturday, 29th June 2024 . The session was based on Stress Management and Having an ideal lifestyle. Dr. Rupali Sarode (Clinical psychologist and career counsellor Wardha) and Dr. Madhuri Wane ( Occupational Therapist) were the resource persons who Conducted an interactive and lively session with the faculty.

Guru Purnima

Guru Purnima serves as a reminder of the eternal importance of revered Gurus who selflessly share their wisdom with the world. Traditionally, Guru Purnima marks Ved Vyasa’s birth,who wrote the epic Mahabharata symbolizing a day of gratitude and respect for our teachers and their timeless wisdom. Saraswati vidyalaya High school and Jr college celebrated Gurupurnima on 23rd July 2024. Lighting of Traditional lamp and garlanding portraits of Maa Saraswati and Ved Vyas was done by Smt. Pushpa Ananthnarayan Headmaster Secondary and Smt. Laxmi Srinivasan Assistant Headmaster secondary. Then followed a series of programs. shloka chanting by Ku. Shravani patil, story narration by Mas.Shardul Yelekar A speech highlighting greatness of guru was delivered by Ku.Gouri Kolhatkar. Students who presented the skit were Ku.Dipali Dwivedi, Ku.Anushka Verma, Ku.Harshita B., Mas. Sarthak T., Ku. Madhuri I, Ku. Siddhi S, Ku. Yashashvi K, Mas. Sai H, Mas. Yash K, Mas.Dhruv W. The program was compered by Ku. Punyashree Jane and vote of thanks was proposed by Mas.Soumya Mudaliar. Smt. Pushpa Ananthanarayan HM, Smt. Lakshmi S. AHM, Supervisors Shri Ravindra Kulkarni and Shri Rahul Ghode congratulated the team for successful condition of programme.

 JEWELS OF SARSWATI VIDAYALAYA

Maharashtra Arm-wrestling Association conducted a State level Arm-wrestling competition on 27th April 2024 and 28th April 2024 at K.D.K.College, Nandanvan, Nagpur. Students of Saraswati Vidyalaya also participated in this competition and brought laurels for the school. In the girls category Ku.Ayushri Mishra secured 1st position in 50 kg category. She bagged a gold medal and a certificate. Ku.Khyati Mishra secured 2nd position in 45 kg category. She bagged a bronze medal and a certificate. In the boy’s category Mas. Siddesh Warankar secured 2nd position in the 45 kg category. He bagged a silver medal and a certificate. Mas. Parth Dorlikar secured 3rd position in the 45 kg category. He bagged a bronze medal and a certificate. Mas.Tanishq Bhandarkar, Mas. Bhavya Khobragade and Mas.HiteshHadke participated in it and got a participation certificate. Ku. Ayushri Maske, Mas.ParthDorlikar, Mas.SiddeshWarankar and Ku. Khyati Mishra qualified for the National level, where Ku. Khyati Mishra secured 3rd position in the 40 kg category in National Armwrestling and Para Armwrestling Championship-2024 conducted from 6th June 2024 to 10th June 2024, at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, Civil line, Nagpur.

 CELEBRATION OF KALIDAS DAY – 8.07.2024

Under the valuable guidance of Smt.Pushpa Ananthanarayan (HM secondary dep .) Kalidas day was celebrated in the auditorium of Saraswati Vidyalaya on 8th July 2024. The programme was started with a famous Shloka of poet Kalidas rendered by Ku. Devahuti Kale . A brief introduction of the program was given by Smt. Anagha Pendke (Asst.Teacher).

NCC Selection – 8.07.2024

A selection round for physical test and written test for NCC Air-wing and Army-wing cadets was conducted on 5th July 2024 and 8th July 2024 respectively. 240 students of Std 8th were present for this examination. For Airwing 45 vacancies and for Army-wing 43 vacancies were there. The selection of preliminary round was conducted under the supervision of officers of NCC dep. and Smt. Trupti Rathi and Shri. Nilesh Dhawad.

PEACE Foundation, Nagpur – 29.06.2024

Safety is not a gadget but a state of mind So safety first, Safety always”. Teachers in school are likely to witness cardiac cases in their classrooms, hence a Training Workshop on CPR(Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) was conducted in the school auditorium by PEACE Foundation, Nagpur.

Scout & Guide activity – 11.07.2024

On the occasions of world population day Government of India conducted an essay writing competition for the students of Scout and Guide for all schools on 11th July 2024. Our school students also participated in this completion. The topic for this competition was  ‘Disadvantages of increasing population”.

Shining Stars Of Saraswati Vidyalaya – 11.07.2024

3 MAH Girls Battalion had completed CATC (Combined Annual Taining Camp) at Warora from 10th June 2024 to 20th June 2024 where the cadets were trained in basic skills of survival and emergencies along with some pertaining skills. In all 400 students from different schools attended this camp. Various competitions like Singing, Dancing, Tug of War etc. were also conducted for the cadets. In the singing competition, Ku. Manasvi Paunikar of our school stood second and bagged a silver medal and a certificate. Ku.Maitri Nitnaware, Ku. Gargee Bhute and Ku.Tapashya Parihar from our school, bagged a silver medal and a certificate in Tug of War competition.

Yoga Day Celebration – 21.06.2024

International yoga day is celebrated every year on 21st June to create awareness about the ancient Indian practice of yoga which relaxes the mind and body.On this occasion Saraswati Vidyalaya organised a yoga program for students in the school auditorium. In all120 cadets of NCC no. 2 Maharashtra Air Squadron and NCC no.3 Maharashtra Girls Battalion participated The students performed various standing and seating asanas and they were told about the importance of yoga to improve concentration and immune system.
