- The Society has 108 Life members and 10 ordinary members as on 31st March 2014.
- The Governing Body members met 11 times during the year.
- The South Indian Education Society has constantly contributed towards the welfare and developmental activities of the School, for the benefit of students as well as the teachers.The programmes and events mentioned in the following pages are standing examples of the successful projects undertaken.
- As per new procedure introduced by the government, every year gradation is being given by the state government through the Divisional Board Pune for the performance of the Institution. It is a matter of pride to observe that the school management secured 190 out 200 points (highest) for a school management.
- Work skill workshops are arranged periodically department-wise.
- At Buldi School, water proofing work of the extended room has been completed.
- Periodically work assessment of the security guards is observed and changes are being done.
- Presently, once in eight hours work duty is divided among six security guards in both the schools for round the clock protection and safeguard.
- The ex-students and parents those who are willing to voluntarily provide financial assistance to the financially poor but academically bright students are guided properly and encouraged in their efforts.
- Proper attention is being given towards the maintenance and cleanliness of the premises.
- Through Dr. Pangaunkar and Dr. Anupama Gadkari, two eminent psychiatrists, counselling sessions are arranged regularly for the low performing students. Teachers are also getting trained to handle such cases.
- Water coolers and computer systems are being monitored through annual maintenance contract procedure.
- Language lab to teach French and German has started functioning from this session.
- Among the existing aided and unaided schools of the city, ours is the only school to start the same in a completely professional manner.
- We have received an overwhelming response for the language lab from the parents.
- After due consultation, from Dr. S. Rajagopalan, fans were fixed at the sides in the balcony area of the centenary hall.
- Net-banking is being utilised for payment of telephone and electric bills as well as payment of Profession Tax and Tax Deducted at Source. TDS returns, Profession tax Returns, Provident Fund Returns etc. are being uploaded by e-filing electronically.
- The upper roof of the centenary auditorium, water proofing work was undertaken and completed successfully.
- Approval is awaited for additional construction over the Administrative Block and “B” block. Plans have been submitted to relevant government agencies for their approval and further actions.
- After due interviews, the surplus staff members provided by the Department are placed in Primary Department.
- The renovation of the secondary ladies staff room, including fitting of new flooring, water proofing work and painting was undertaken and was completed.
- For more security and observation CCTV cameras are fixed at all relevant locations in the school premises with the monitoring being done at office of the SIES and Head Master.
- Fixing of interlocking tiles around the premises within the compound area completed with provisions for water drainage system.
- With proper follow up consistently with NMC authorities, the damaged wall of the adjacent Nallah was repaired.
- To maintain the hygiene and cleanliness, cleaners and sweepers are employed for cleaning the wash rooms as well as the school premises.
- Aluminium sliding windows are fixed in the SIES meeting hall and the two halls above to maintain uniformity.
- The Certificates of the Government electricity board for the satisfactory installation of the equipments and machines are being done periodically.
