Aashadhi Ekadashi 7th July 2025-2026
On 7th July 2025, a special program was organized on the occasion of Aashadhi Ekadashi in the school. The event began with the administrators performing the pooja of Lord Vitthal with devotion and reverence. Students presented informative speeches highlighting the significance and importance of Aashadhi Ekadashi in our culture and tradition.
The atmosphere became divine as students performed the vari (pilgrimage procession) and sang melodious abhangas dedicated to Lord Vitthal. Adding to the spiritual fervor, two students beautifully enacted the roles of Lord Vitthal and Goddess Rukmini, creating a lively and devotional environment.
The program not only showcased the cultural essence of Aashadhi Ekadashi but also filled the hearts of everyone present with devotion and joy.
Kavi Kalidas Divas ( Sanskrit Day) 10th July 2025-2026
On 7th July 2025, the school organized a special program to celebrate Kavi Kalidas Divas. The event highlighted the rich contribution of the great poet Kalidas to Sanskrit literature. On this occasion, students delivered speeches in Sanskrit language and recited beautiful Sanskrit shlokas, showcasing their love and respect for the language. They also presented informative talks about the life and works of Kavi Kalidas, enlightening everyone about his literary excellence. The program created an atmosphere of cultural pride and inspired students to appreciate the value of classical literature.
School Election for Captain and Ministers 23rd July 2025-2026
On 23rd July 2025, our school conducted elections for the School Captain, Ministers, and House Captains. The voting was carried out following the Indian Election System, giving students the experience of real democracy. All students cast their votes enthusiastically, and the newly elected leaders were announced, marking a proud and memorable day for the school.
Kargil Vijay Diwas, 26th July 2025-2026
On 26th July 2025, a program was organized in the school on the occasion of Kargil Vijay Divas. The school invited Group Captain Vijay S. Hardas (Retd.), a proud participant of the Kargil War, as the chief guest. He shared his inspiring experiences of the war and motivated the students with his words of courage and patriotism.
Sajan Shah Program 7th August 2025
On 7th August 2025, Saraswati Vidyalaya, Shankar Nagar, Nagpur organized a special session with Shri Sajan Shah, popularly known as the Memory Man of India. He taught students several memory techniques to enhance their studies and also inspired them to become good human beings.
Independence Day Celebration 15th August 2025
On 15th August 2025, Saraswati Vidyalaya, Nagpur celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. The Headmistress, Smt. Pushpa Ananthanarayan, hoisted the national flag. Students presented speeches, patriotic songs, and dances, while the NCC cadets performed a parade to mark the occasion.

On 20th August 2025, Mr. Mukesh Ashar, Director and Co-founder of Lemon School of Entrepreneurship, addressed the students. He explained the path to becoming an entrepreneur and highlighted the importance of creativity and innovation in achieving success in life.
Sports Day 29th August 2025
On 29th August 2025, National Sports Day was celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand. On this day, students were informed about the life and achievements of Major Dhyan Chand. Various sports events were organized for both students and teachers, and the winners were felicitated with gifts.
Teachers’ Day celebration 4th September 2025
On 4th September 2025, Teachers’ Day was pre-celebrated at Saraswati Vidyalaya to mark the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. The program began with paying tribute to him, followed by teachers highlighting the significance of this special day. Some students took on the roles of teachers and taught their classmates, adding to the celebration. The school management felicitated a few teachers in recognition of their contribution. All the teachers expressed their gratitude to the management for their constant support. Report on Prize Distribution Ceremony of SSC & HSSC meritorious students 2024-25 at Saraswati Vidyalaya
The Prize Distribution Ceremony of SSC and HSSC students was held with great enthusiasm at
Saraswati Vidyalaya High School and Junior College on 25-09-2025, at 3:00 p.m onwards.
The event was graced by the Hon. Chief Guest Shri. R. Ramakrishnan Chairman and CEO Immerse
AI,Vice President Vigyan Bharti and Smt. Priti Ramakrishnan, that added dignity and charm to the
program.
The program commenced with a warm welcome address , Prayer - invoking the blessings of Goddess
Saraswati.
Smt. Laxmi Srinivasan -AHM read the report and congratulated the prize winners on exceptional
achievement of the students of SSC &HSSC 2024-25 mentioning that
Total 378 students appeared in SSC and 65 students in HSSC exams giving 100% results with Ku.

Nagpur, November 15, 2025: Sharvika Gajbhiye of Saraswati Vidyalaya and
Aditi Dahake of Prabodhankar Thakre High School, Wadi, emerged as the
winners of the 37th Smt. Padmatai Bardhan and 8th Shri. A. Sundaresan
Memorial Science Talks, held on November 15th.
The event, inaugurated by Shri. T. K. Venkatesh, President of the South Indian
Education Society, saw participation from 26 state board schools.
The Std. X talks were judged by Dr. Seema Ubale (Rajendra Singh Science
Exploratory) and Dr. Rohit Patne (JD College of Engineering). The Std. IX talks
were judged by Dr. Ram Daftari (Retd., Dharampeth Science College) and Dr.
Dewashree Nagarkar (LAD College).
The program was attended by Headmaster Smt. Lakshmi Srinivasan, Asst.

Saraswati Vidyalaya, Shankar Nagar, celebrated its Annual Sports Meet 2025–26 on 9th and 10th December, marked by spirited participation and house-wise competitions.
The meet was inaugurated by Shri T. K. Venkatesh, (President) South Indian Education Society (SIES), in the presence of Shri T. G. Kumar, Shri S. Krishna Kumar, Shri J. Radhakrishnan, and Dr. Suresh Chari - Resp.members of Governing body members of South Indian Education Society,along with Smt. Lakshmi Srinivasan( Headmaster secondary) ,Smt. Shaili Iyer (Assistant Headmaster secondary ), Smt. Reshmi Umesh (Headmaster primary) Smt. Veena Narayanan ( Supervisor pre-primary), Shri Ravi Kulkarni and Shri Rahul Ghode (Supervisors secondary )and Shri Brijmohan Rawat (convener annual sports meet)
The first day i.e 9th December witnessed a range of house-wise athletic and fun competitions.The events drew vibrant participation from students of all houses followed by prize distribution ceremony.
The second day of the Annual Sports Meet- 10th of Dec 2025 witnessed the presence of Hon. Chief Guest Dr. Sambhaji Shivajirao Bhonsle( Director) Department of Sports & Physical Education, RTMNU, Nagpur. The day featured major track and field events along with team competitions that kept the audience engaged throughout.
The Annual Sports Report was presented by Shri Ravi Kulkarni, Head of the Sports Department, after which athletes from various disciplines were felicitated for their outstanding performance in various sports.
The second day of the event concluded with the prize distribution ceremony,where the Chief Guest presented mementos and prizes to the winners. This year, Blue House and Orange House emerged as joint champions, sharing the Championship Trophy after finishing with equal points.
The two-day event concluded with applause and celebration, reflecting the school’s commitment to promoting physical fitness, sportsmanship, and holistic development.
Cultural programme “Divya Dharohar” at Saraswati Vidyalaya
The Secondary and Junior College departments of Saraswati Vidyalaya celebrated Annual Social Gathering - 2025, on December 20, under the theme _‘Divya Dharohar’_. The program offered a soulful journey through India’s glorious mythological epics, featuring enactments of *Ganesh Janma*, *Ramayana*, and the life of *Adi Shankaracharya*. Tributes were paid to legends such as *Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj*, *Ahilyabai Holkar*, and the *Rani of Jhansi*.
Senior students showcased cultural diversity with high‑octane performances of Tamil, Lavani, Gondhal, Dhangar, and Pahadi dances.
The event was addressed by *Shri T. K. Venkatesh*, President of SIES, who emphasized preserving Indian culture in a modernizing world. Other dignitaries of SIES present included Smt. V. Meenakshi (Hon. Secretary), Shri R.S.Sundaram(Jt. Secretary) , Shri Durairajan(member),Shri Vijay Sampath(member), Shri J. Radhakrishnan (Member ), Dr. Suresh Chari (Co‑Chairman ADC), and Shri S. Prabhuraman (Co‑ordinator SIES), who praised the school’s leadership and staff for the event’s success.
The celebration was meticulously organized and guided by Smt. Laxmi Srinivasan (HM, Secondary), Smt. Disaster Management and Mock Drill
Saraswati Vidyalaya organized a Disaster Management and Mock Drill to create awareness and preparedness among students and staff regarding various emergency situations. The programme focused on fire safety, earthquake response, and general emergency management.
The drill began with an orientation session where students were informed about the importance of disaster preparedness and safety measures. Trained personnel explained the do’s and don’ts during emergencies such as fire outbreaks and earthquakes. Sirens were used to simulate real emergency situations.
During the fire drill, students were guided to evacuate the building in an orderly manner, following proper exit routes. They were instructed to stay calm, avoid panic, and assemble at the designated safe area. For the earthquake drill, students practiced the “Drop, Cover, and Hold” technique and learned safe evacuation procedures after the tremors.
Teachers and staff actively supervised the drill to ensure discipline and safety. The entire exercise was conducted smoothly and successfully, helping students gain practical knowledge and confidence to respond effectively during real-life emergencies.
The programme concluded with feedback and instructions, emphasizing that awareness, alertness, and quick response are key to minimizing loss during disasters. The mock drill proved to be highly informative and beneficial for the entire school community.

Saraswati Vidyalaya, Nagpur celebrated International Science Week from 9th to 15th November with great enthusiasm. Various activities like a Science Quiz, Science Model Competition, and chart preparation on science-related topics were organized for students.
Students also received valuable information about Indian scientists and their contributions, which inspired them to develop interest in science and innovation. The activities encouraged creativity, curiosity, and scientific thinking among students.

Bootcamp for Students, conducted by Lemon Idea
Saraswati Vidyalaya successfully organized an exciting and inspiring Innovation Bootcamp for Students, conducted by Lemon Idea, with the aim of nurturing creativity, problem-solving skills, and an entrepreneurial mindset among young learners.
The bootcamp witnessed enthusiastic participation from 50 student teams, each presenting innovative ideas and solutions. After a rigorous evaluation process, 16 brilliant teams were shortlisted and selected for the finale round, showcasing exceptional creativity, teamwork, and practical thinking.
A highlight of the event was the power-packed training session led by Mr. Deepak Menaria, Founder & CEO of Lemon Idea. His interactive and motivating session encouraged students to think boldly, build confidently, and innovate without limits. Through real-world examples and hands-on guidance, students gained valuable insights into idea development, design thinking, and innovation practices.
The bootcamp provided a dynamic platform for students to explore their potential, collaborate effectively, and transform ideas into impactful solutions. The event truly lived up to its theme, “Igniting Young Innovators!”, leaving participants inspired and eager to pursue innovation-driven learning.
