Saraswati Vidyalaya, the most acknowledged and respected Tamil linguistic minority institution run by the South Indian Education Society (Est.in1894), commemorated its 132nd Foundation Year with a grand celebration on Sunday, 1st March, 2026.

Seeking the blessings almighty with a Tamil prayer song ,the esteemed gathering witnessed the presence of the esteemed chief guest Shri. R. Sreeram , General Manager & HOD of Legal Dept of Western Coal Fields Ltd., Nagpur.

The chief guest Shri. R Sreeram was felicitated at the hands of Shri T.K. Venkatesh President, SIES.

The South Indian Education Society's humble beginnings by the visionary founder Late Shri. Rao Bahadur A.Vasudev Mudaliar and later its impressive expansion, encompassing the establishment of a Junior College, Sanjeevani School for special students, an ECCE training centre, Niranjani School of Excellence of Arts was delightfully recalled in a PPT by Shri. Shreyas Pingle.

The grand celebration included a vibrant cultural program that captivated the audience. Dance performances by Pre-Primary and Primary students,a tableau on the theme of Aadiguru Shankaracharya by Secondary dept students,Tamil drama by secondary and junior college students ,Skit by Sanjeevani students and the divine Musical and Dance performances by the faculty of Niranjani Dr. Manjiri Vaidya and Ms.Poorva Gangakhedkar made the program a memorable one.

The Chief guest addressed the gathering by enunciating the important role Saraswati Vidyalaya is playing by instilling the culture and values among the students. He commended the school for its par excellence in education and its pivotal role in shaping generation of students.

Shri T.K. Venkatesh, President SIES, delivered an insightful speech highlighting the remarkable efforts of South Indian Education Society through Saraswati Vidyalaya,Niranjani and Sanjeevani towards serving the society through education.

The program was expertly compered by Mrs. Bhavani V and Mrs.Hema Naidu.
